Experience
Democratic Party Campaign Intern:
I am extremely interested in politics which is why I decided to volunteer for the Democratic Party this fall. My commitment to volunteering ultimately led to an internship. Through the internship I learned about time management, meeting quotas, and coordinating with others. Overall, my first internship was a success and I am so happy to have completed it.

Paterno Fellows Program:
The Paterno Fellows Program is a program within the College of Liberal Arts and the Schreyer Honors College. Students within the program learn about ethics, service, citizenship, and leadership. Additionally, students gain skills in communication and understanding other cultures. I was recognized as a fellow on February 1st among other Liberal Arts peers.

THON:
On February 17th, 2017 I got to experience THON for the first time. THON is the largest student run philanthropy, which occurs every year at Penn State. For 46 hours, students come together to dance and raise both morale and money for childhood cancer. I was accepted as an Operations Committee Member, and I spent the months prior to THON, and THON weekend, creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for the Four Diamonds Families and THON volunteers. THON was such a rewarding experience between both the fundraising efforts and the general event. I can’t wait for THON 2018.

SHOtime Mentor:
Every new Schreyer Honors College Scholar attends SHOtime, a 3 day academic orientation, before classes begin. At SHOtime, the new scholars learn about the Honors College and how to transition into the rigorous course work. SHOtime was the perfect opportunity to meet people and receive great advice, which is why I applied to be a SHOtime Mentor for 2017. I will look after about 10 students, and also work as a liaison with the Schreyer faculty. I am very excited for the opportunity.

Phi Chi Theta:
The second semester of my Freshman year I decided to rush a Co-Ed Professional Business and Economics Fraternity. Phi Chi Theta values three pillars; professional, social, and philanthropy. Between interviews and case competitions, I truly have enhanced my professional skills. I was elected as the gift chair this past semester, and managed enough funds to provide a gift to all 120 active members. Alike, I recently was elected as a Corporate Relations chair for next semester, and I am looking forward to helping other brothers develop their professional skills in accordance with our corporate partners.
